My name is Wade, a little bit about me is that I gave my life to Jesus when I was 17 years old. Currently I work for a ministry called Time to Revive where we go into different communities bring unity, and we equip them to share the gospel, and then send them out to do that in their neighborhoods. And so when you hear testimonies about healings and miracles, and all those things, sometimes people, they may not completely agree with that. But at the end of the day, if we can agree to the fact that Jesus died, He rose again, and the basic message of the gospel: of the resurrection, the death of Christ, and that He’s returning someday…If we can agree to that reality, we can work together. And so that’s what we do, we bring these churches together. A lot of times, you’ve got everything from Baptist to Methodist to Church of Christ to Episcopalians, and our desire is to equip them and send them out to share the gospel. Our model is, or our motto, or whatever you want to call it is to equip. Equip the saints for the return of Christ. We want to get the body of Christ ready for His return. We’re getting people outside the four walls, because the reality is, people outside of the four walls, they don’t really care what you believe. They’re looking for what’s real. 

Recently, I was in Austria. There was a guy that–there was an event happening and they would do a kind of drum circle. Where they draw a crowd, they do some dancing, and they kind of had people spread out amongst the crowd. If you know a whole lot about Europe, if you know a lot about Austria, most of Europe’s atheist, or they’re post, post-Christian. And there was a guy standing next to me, and after they would do their drawing of the crowd, then they would preach the gospel. They would share about anywhere from two to three minutes the gospel. Share a testimony and the gospel. After they were done–they did the whole show–there was a guy sitting next to me. I said, “Hey, man, what do you think about all that?” And he knew English, which was great because I had run into a lot of people there that didn’t know English. And he said, “What do you mean, what do I think?” He says, “What do you think about the show? What do you think about whatever?” And I said, “Yeah, man, specifically his presentation, about Jesus and about God and all that. He goes, “Oh man, I’m an atheist. There is no God, there is nothing.” And so I just shared my testimony in about 30 seconds. And I’ll talked about how I encountered the love of Jesus when I was 17 years old. Though I grew up in church all my life, I encountered the love of Christ when I was 17. I said, “God became real. Jesus became real to me when I was 17.” And he goes, “Well, if I had an encounter with Jesus like that, I would give my life to Jesus too.” I said, “Well, man, well, let’s give God a chance to have an encounter with you.” 

And all the sudden in that process. I felt like I heard in my heart that he had disc pain, a disc or something. And so I said, “So if I give you an encounter to Jesus, are you for real? Will you give your life to Him?” He said, “Yeah.” Well, so then I took a step of faith with what I felt like I heard in my heart about him having pain in his back. And I then voice that to him I said, “Hey, do you have pain in your lower back? Maybe something with a disc? He goes, “Well, how do you know that?” I said, “Well, that was the Holy Spirit; it’s Jesus. It’s His resurrection. He’s speaking to me. And so then I begin to pray. I prayed a simple prayer, but after I got through praying, he looks at me with a stunned face. He goes, “What, what was that?” And I said, “What do you mean?” He goes, “when you began to pray for me, I felt a hand, or something, moving up and down my back, moving my disc back in place and massaging the pain out of my body.” He goes, “I don’t have any more pain.” He started, you know, bending, checking… I said, “well, check it out. Move up and down. Do something you couldn’t do; something that used to cause pain. You know, drastic pain.” So he starts moving his back. He goes, “Man, it’s gone. I don’t know what that, I don’t know what that was.” I said, Man, I’m telling you, that’s Jesus. He’s the one I told you I encountered was 17 years old.” I said, “You told me you’d give your life to Jesus.” And so then process the gospel with him again. I went into a little more in detail about the resurrection, about the death of Christ, what He did on the cross, because I wanted him to understand. And I said, “Man.”I said, “Today, if you choose to, you can receive the gift of life and surrender and make Him Lord of your life.” He goes, “Yeah man. I need, I need this Jesus in my life.” And so that day he said, “Jesus, I surrender all. I make you the Lord of my life. I believe what you’ve done is real, because today I’ve encountered You.” And then in the midst of his prayer, he prayed a simple prayer and he said, “and Jesus, May I introduced people to Jesus, like Wade just introduced me to You.”

Well, I pray for him. I was amazed by what God did. Well, about five minutes later, I look up and he’s waving at me across the way and he’s standing with someone. I didn’t know who it was. Well come to find out, it was his mom. He brings me over. And he goes, “I just told my mom what just happened.” And I said, “Well, let’s talk to your mom.” I said, “Well, what is, what is your mom, or what do…you know, what do you believe?” She goes, “Well, I just believe there’s a God. I don’t, I don’t…I’m not a Christian or anything.” She had, she also had some wrist problems. She wasn’t able to move her wrist for about 10 years. Anytime she did, it caused pain. We prayed for her wrist, her wrist to get healed. Her wrist gets healed. And so I said, I looked at her son, I said, “well, now let’s share the message of Jesus.” He goes, “No, you do it.” I said, “No. Tell her what, tell her what just happened in your life.” So he tells the gospel to her. This guy has been saved for five minutes. He tells the gospel to her; tells about God encountering him a few minutes ago, and then I kind of filled in some gaps, and we asked her, together, “Do you want to accept Jesus today?” She said, “I sure do.” So then she gives her life to Jesus! 

So in the matter of about, I don’t know, 20 minutes, we went from a guy that was an atheist, to God healing his back, having encountered Jesus, God touching his back, him surrendering all. Five minutes later, he then leads me to his mom, and him and I, together, lead his mom to Jesus. She gets healed and she gives her life to the Lord. In literally moments. People are looking for an encounter with Jesus. They’re looking for what’s real. And so whether you’re sharing the gospel, or your, whatever you’re doing; You need to point people to Jesus. If the gospel’s not pointing the people to Jesus, then it’s not the gospel. Jesus took on the punishment of, He took on the weight of your sin. He took on your sickness, your infirmity. 

A little bit about me as well, I gave my life to Jesus, when I was about 17 years old. I grew up in a Christian family. But when I was in seventh grade, I had a cousin die of cancer. And not too long later, when I was a freshman in college, my grandmother passed away of cancer. And I remember people telling me that the reason that my grandmother had cancer was God was trying to teach a lesson. And not too long after, I got invited to some healing meetings, and these meetings were powerful. Where God would show up in a powerful way. The presence of God would come into the room and the guy on the stage would say, “people in the back are being healed, people in a wheelchair, someone with a tumor, someone…” and he would just start calling these things out. He’d say, “alright now we’re going to testify” and ask these people to come up on the stage, and they would testify. And I remember that day, I think it was that night, after leaving that meeting, a friend of mine just said, “You know, these people that are getting up there on the stage, that are testifying, either they’re lying or they’re telling the truth.” And he said, “You have a choice to believe whichever.” And I just decided, well, I’m just going to choose to believe. 

From that day forward. I’ve just chosen to believe when I hear testimony of God, I have one of those two options. They’re either just really good liars or they’re telling the truth. Everything from Genesis to Revelation, He’s a God of miracles. He’s a God that’s alive. Well, that’s the same God that I serve. And that’s the same God that actually lives inside of me. And that’s the same God, Christ, that rose from the dead, the Spirit of God. I’ve had to sit with the Lord and I’ve said, Okay, if the Spirit of God is in me, that rose Christ from the dead–that’s pretty amazing. So I need to get my heart wrapped around this knowledge of this truth. And the only way I know that’s displayed is by acting on it. So over time, over the years, it’s just acting. And I remember hearing this early on in my walk with the Lord, someone said, “The more you grow in the Lord, the more you should become like a child.” Where there’s this innocence of trust and the innocence of faith and I think that’s a sign of maturity; where those that are mature, are those that are taking the greatest risk and they’re seeing the evidence of their faith–of God showing up. And I’ve, I guess you would say, made to kind of like inner vow like, I’m going to be childlike. I want to live by faith. I have one life to live, and how much will I believe God and His Word? 

So I started walking through this journey of really pursuing God, of praying for the sick and sharing my testimony of how God has used me. There’s a few stories I just wanted to highlight. One of the first drastic healings I saw was, I was sitting in a Baptist Church parking lot, a lady had her eyes shut for about 37 years. Me and a buddy of mine prayed for her eyes. Her eyes popped wide open. She hadn’t been able to see and the Lord touches are so hard she falls down in her van and starts laughing uncontrollably. We have no understanding and no comprehension of this and this lady’s going to a Baptist Church, as far as we know, she has no understanding of what’s going on. She pops back up. She looks at it. She opens her eyes wide open. She goes, “I haven’t been able to see in 37 years and I believe that’s why I couldn’t stop laughing. Because the joy that I’ve been able to see again.” 

There was a guy that was actually in prison. He was given a several weeks to live. I didn’t even know he was in the room. I prayed a general prayer of healing that day. There was probably about 300 inmates in the room. He comes and finds me six months later, he says, “That day I had a cane; I walked into that chapel service and had a cane that day. I got back to my dormitory and realized I forgot my cane.” He said, “I knew God was doing something that day. My physical strength had begun to automatically be renewed. I went to the doctor, they did about five scans trying to figure out if the cancer was still in my body.” He said, “it’s totally gone!”

A couple years ago, I remember, I was outside in a certain part of North Dallas, in Denton. And, it was by some of the clubs out there. There was a young man that was coming out to party with some of his friends and the Holy Spirit spoke to me about someone having a knot on their shoulder. Their friends said “Well, a friend of ours is actually in town this week to have a tumor investigated on his shoulder.” And so we go and pray for him. In the process, we pray and the tumor on his shoulder completely disappears. We actually have, a friend of mine was doing a Facebook job that day and has that recorded. It’s amazing to watch his response. His friends ultimately ended up hanging out with us, worshiping with us, and not going to the clubs and got back in the car and went home that day. Actually, one of them went to church with us, the next Sunday. 

I personally had a tumor the size of about a, anywhere from a softball to a cantaloupe sized tumor in my leg. The tumor, they ended up, it was just laying on top of a bone, and they just removed it. There was a season where I had to learn how to walk. And I tell you that story, along with these other ones–It’s realizing that I could have taken a stance of, I don’t know if it’s God’s will to heal cancer. I don’t know if it’s God’s will to remove tumors. But it’s realizing that there was an opposition and there’s things that came against me, and against my family, and against people in my life. Realizing that that very thing that was coming up against me, is the very thing I believe that God’s given me breakthrough–to see God heal. God’s gonna back His word. If you don’t see it, don’t change the way you believe! God doesn’t change on His word. He says you’ll lay hands on the sick and they will recover. And He says you’ll speak to the mountain and the mountain will move. And I know you may have spoken to a mountain, you’ve spoken to people that have cancer, and you’ve had loved ones die, but it doesn’t change His word. That just means at the end of the day, I’ve gotta go back to the drawing board and say, “I’m gonna have to believe God at His Word and just because I didn’t see it, doesn’t mean that God changed. It just means I need to go into this place of seeking Him and knowing His heart.” God’s heart is to heal the sick, and His heart is to heal cancer. Because like I said, I personally could have–I mean, I’m still on this journey of seeing it. But I could say, well, no, no, no. God didn’t heal me. God, God didn’t heal my grandmother. God didn’t heal my cousin. But I’m telling you, people that even don’t know God are trying to end cancer. We have the answer! It’s through the healing power of Jesus. Jesus is a healer. Don’t allow past experience dictate who God says He is. When you get the report that you have cancer, that cancer is in front of you. God’s bigger. He’s, He’s true to His Word. 

The ultimate goal is to follow Jesus. Sometimes we get focused on the healing of why they didn’t get healed or why this person got healed. But no, the goal is to follow Jesus. If my eye is single, my focus is single to follow Jesus and Jesus healed every person He got His hands on. If I don’t see [someone] get healed, well that means I’m not, I’m not walking like Jesus yet. So that means I need to follow Him and it’s not a striving thing. You don’t need to get into striving. You don’t need to get into a works based–the more I fast, the more I pray, maybe I’ll see it. No, He just says, simply believe. Because I can say one thing, I have a belief, but faith just–it says in James, faith is displayed by your actions. You’ll really see what you believe by your actions on a daily basis. When you see the guy walking by that has the crutches. So yesterday, I prayed for 10 people. And as far as I know, no one got healed, but I still believe God’s Word. So I’m going to pray for the guy with crutches. So it’s pressing on. Paul says, One thing I’ve learned is pressing on towards Christ. I forget those things of the past. I think sometimes we dwell in the past and it ties our hands for what God wants to use us for today.

As I ended today’s podcast, I just want to pray for those that maybe have sickness or disease or cancer or anything. I’m just going to pray a simple prayer. If you do have sickness, I believe you’re going to be healed, but also those that are learning in this, this will be a model for you. And so in Jesus name, I just command every sickness and every disease to leave every person’s body right now, as they’re listening in Jesus name, amen. If you did have a sickness, if you did have a disease, I just encourage you to move your arm rotate your knee, check to see where that tumors at. See if you have a difference. And those that are listening, apply that wherever you’re at. Just pray that simple prayer
