I am here to share my story. It’s more of my life testimony of how I’ve seen the God of the supernatural. And really, I want to talk to you all, heart to heart, from where I come from and what God has done so far in my life, and he continues to do. I believe this will encourage some of you out there, and also give you a fresh perspective on the God we serve. And the Lord Jesus who loves us, beyond our human understanding.

So to start the story of my life, I can almost go back to the point that I was born. I was born prematurely, which means I was born at seven months, you know, the seven month I was born. And so the doctors. when I was delivered, they told my mom in the hospital, they said, “We don’t know if this will make it.” Because really, they were not certain that I would survive.

I was born in India, Bangalore, and you’re talking about 35 years ago. So when my mom had me, what she tells me even today is that I was as small as a cucumber. That’s how tiny I was. And kind of the doctors, when they put me in something called the incubator, they, they were not very certain how I will really make it through. At that point, my mom very vaguely remembers that she, deep within her heart, she prayed a prayer. And she just said, “Lord, if you will make him live, one day he will glorify Your name.” So it all really started from there, where she prayed that over me, and I survived, you know. I made it through and I continued to grow. I began to go to, you know, Sunday school and began to hear the great things about the Lord, and, you know, like amazing things what, you know, the stories in the Bible, talk about the Lord Jesus doing miracles, signs and wonders. And it always fascinated me that how that God is not just a god out there, but he’s a God who can intervene in our personal life, and do the miraculous. And kind of that was always in my heart, like something, you know, okay, God can do supernatural miracles, miraculous things in our life.

When I was 14 years old, my father, he, he, he lost his eyesight. And he had a stroke, you know, and, you know, his body was paralyzed. And then to, to an extent where they also had to amputate part of his leg, his ankle, and financially, our family began to go into this phase of real tough times. I was really trying to get him out of this deep depression, and, you know, this horrible pit that he was going through. I myself had my own struggles of insecurity, feeling like a weak person. I began to feel that there was no hope further in my life, and I would not survive further. And there were these voices that began to speak in my head saying that, you know, “You know what, you’re good for nothing, you don’t have a great future, you should just kill yourself.” And now I know those are demons talking to me. But then I didn’t know it was…. I just thought those were my own voices. But it was really the voice of the enemy in my head ringing out loud.

I remember at 14, being a 14-year-old kid, I remember there’s nobody in my house. And this was the encounter that turned my life around. I was all alone in my living room. And I was contemplating, I was thinking about suicide. I was thinking about how to kill myself. I was fearful, I was scared. But this voice in my head was saying, “It’s okay, just kill yourself, that’s better for you then to live further. This is the greatest thing, is the greatest option, which will end all pain and this is it, your life will, this pain will end in your life.” I was crying, I was bitter, I was anxious, I was worried, I was hopeless. Hopeless is the right word to use. I was so hopeless. I saw no light further, you know, I just felt this was the dead end. This was all. Really, I wanted to do God a favor. You know, like, I just wanted to tell him that–thank you for the life that you’ve given me. But today, I’m giving this life back to you. Because I really don’t think there’s further meaning to it. But I’m just giving this life back to you.

But to my amazement, I said these words out of my mouth, and I said this thing that “God, I give you my life.” The moment I said those words, (Thank You, Jesus) you know, I then I said, “God, I give you my life,” I actually meant like killing myself and just ending the, ending my life, this was all happening simultaneously. When I said those words, “God, I give you my life,” I felt this presence of Jesus Christ coming into my living room. And the next thing I know, and I can’t even comprehend this, how this could happen. But I heard an audible voice, which said, “You can give me nothing. And the life that you have is mine.”

This voice was all around me. And this was this voice was also inside me. It just penetrated my being. It was inside me, it was all around me. And the moment I heard this, within the count of five, you know, literally, I felt I was standing under a powerful shower, like how it can stand under strong shower water, which is flowing from the top of your head to the soles of your feet, the shower, which is really flowing all over you. Just like that there was a strong shower of peace. This peace just began to just flow through me and all these voices in the count of five, every voice that was talking negative, and you know, making me hopeless just left me in the count of five. And deep inside my heart, the was assurance that said, you know, you have a great future. And God is and I just knew that, see, the Lord Jesus was going to use me. My whole life was filled with hope.

Almost immediately, there was a shift in my, in my way of talking to God. It became more conversational. It was not like, for years, I used to say bless my mom, bless my Dad, give me a give me a bike, you know, like, not those kind of prayers. I was like, “God, you know, like, I thank you that you’re so real. I want to talk to you, you know, can you be my best friend, I’m lonely. I want you to talk to me, can you show me what my life has? My whole perspective of praying just, you know, talking to God totally got transformed. After this experience, I wanted to know more about him.

I began to read my Bible like crazy. I wanted to hear the voice of God again. And that day was a turning point. And this is my, my real experience of how how the Lord really saved me and gave me a second chance. And this is the starting point of how my, literally my, my spiritual journey began with the Lord. My father has, as he continued in his life’s journey, he became very bitter because he was not healed. We put him in a geriatric facility where, you know, he was being nursed and taken care of from the doctors and nurses. I would go and visit my father. And also because I’m so passionate, I would always make my father you know, like recite something called the sinners prayer, the prayer of salvation. I hope most of you have heard this, you know, well, you tell them to say, “I accept Jesus as your Lord,” and I would force my father every time I would see him to do this. And he would do it for me because he loved me. And he didn’t want to reject me. But he, but I knew that he was not doing it from his heart, he was just doing because his son was asking him and pestering him to do this.

One particular Sunday evening, I read this passage to my father saying that, you know, “God says, you know, the lame will walk, the blind will see the deaf will here, and there’s a highway of the Lord, and God will take away all their sorrows from their eyes, and there will be no more sorrow, and they’ll be joy to know.” And I began to say these things. My father, who was in this, you know, this state situation, he told me, like, “How can you prove to me hell and heaven is real? What is the proof that you have that you say, there is a heaven and there’s a hell.” And he started to debate and argue with me at this point.

I did my best as a, as a kid, you know, being like 19 years old, not 20 years old, trying to argue with my father saying, No, there is a heaven, there’s a hell, but nothing of my argument could get through him, you know. He was questioning things logically. But there’s another patient in the same room on the left side of his bed. This man was fully paralyzed from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. And this man was trying to turn towards us, and my friend went and laid him to the side. And the man tells me, son, I remember this man’s name was Anthony. And he, he said, “Son, I will pray that sinners prayer, and I want to give my life to Jesus, you know, after hearing this Revelation passage.” And we prayed with him that night. While I was about to leave, this man said, “Can you read Psalm 23 for me, because it is amazing. And I remember that from my childhood days.” So we read Psalm 23. And we left. And that same night, his family visited him, and he got like a, like a plaque of Psalm 23 in front of him, so he could fix his gaze and go to sleep. And the next following day, early morning, this man at around 4 a.m., he calls to my father, and he says, “Henry Henry.” And my father, who was like blind, and you know, he, he had a talking watch, which could tell him time. He pressed on it, and it said, it’s 4 a.m. And my father told this man, like, “Why don’t you go to sleep? It’s still 4 a.m.” And this man tells my father, “Henry Henry, the, I see the Lord Jesus standing right before me right now, and he has his arms wide open, and he’s calling me to go home. And I’m, and I’m about to go. But make sure you follow him, too.” And my father just told him just go back to sleep. And that at 6 a.m., during the nurses came to visit my dad, they woke him up. And they told him, “Henry, this man, your friend, Anthony, has gone to be with the Lord. He’s no more.”

My father was shocked. And he said, “When did this happen?” And they said, “It could be around 4 a.m., because it looks like that’s when it happened. My father was wrecked. He was crying. And the hospital people really called me and my mom and they wanted us to visit him because he was feeling out of control. He was not controllable. And when I went and met him, my father said, “You know, son, I believe heaven and hell is real, because this man spoke to me. And he said, ‘Jesus is standing right before me.’ And I know this, this gospel, this, this word, this, this Bible, this everything that you read is real.” And that’s the day my father gave his life to the Lord.

And this is, this is one of the things that has been stuck in my life, like, I cannot move from this experience, you know. And there is a God who wants us to have a relationship with Him. And it all starts from that point where if we can look to him, he can, he can, he wants us to look to him. He’s there for us. He’s waiting. So going after the Lord is always beautiful. Those who seek Him diligently, you know, you know, you’re gonna be rewarded with greater things. A reward is something higher than the normal things. It is something more that God will give. And those who seek will find it. You know, it’s so amazing that there is an open invitation for everybody to come into this deeper place. And if we say yes, there is so much more out there.
